Every transformative movement begins with a big dream. For our esteemed founder, that dream was forged in the rural land of Erandgaon, a small village near Paithan.
Rising from a humble background, he understood that education is the ultimate equalizer. With a fierce determination to make a difference, he relocated to Pune and started his professional journey as a dedicated school teacher.
Overcoming Adversity Through Perseverance
True leadership is tested by hardships and determination. While managing his daily teaching responsibilities, our founder chose to advance his own education, successfully earning various degrees. This period of his life was defined by immense grit; he balanced rigorous work with demanding studies, all while navigating severe financial constraints. Rather than allowing these economic struggles to deter him, he transformed his personal adversity into a profound lifelong mission. He envisioned a sanctuary of learning where no child would ever be denied an education due to a lack of financial means.
Turning a Dream into Reality
With unwavering dedication, consistency, and a clear philanthropic vision, that dream materialized into a historic reality. He established the Girishtha Goroba Shikshan Sanstha, an educational trust built on the foundational pillar of equal opportunity in the year 1971.
To bring his vision directly to the community, he founded two landmark institutions:
- Bal Vidya Niketan: A Marathi-medium primary school dedicated to nurturing young minds during their foundational years.
- Anand Vidya Niketan: A high school designed to empower teens and adolescent students and prepare them for a bright, self-reliant future.
Recognizing the critical need for modern, job-ready capabilities, he also established a specialized vocational and technical training branch for the high school students. This forward-thinking additional ensured that students graduate with the practical, marketable skills necessary to succeed in today’s competitive workforce.
A Living Legacy of Selfless Service
Today, the seeds sown by our founder have grown into a vast canopy of hope. To this day, these schools have provided top-tier, quality education to thousands of underprivileged children entirely free of cost. By removing financial barriers, the trust does not just teach; it rescues dreams, elevates families, upgrades the locality and shapes the leaders of tomorrow. A Sacred Promise Kept: Fulfilling the Ultimate Dream
As our founder looked toward the changing dynamics of a globalized world, he harboured a grand, final ambition: to establish an affordable English Medium School, that would equip the children to compete on a global stage. Though his earthly journey came to an end before this ultimate milestone was reached, his vision remained vibrant and alive through his wife, Smt. Kiran Baburao Taware.
Smt. Kiran Taware is a passionate, lifelong educator and a respected retired Principal-stepped forward to carry the torch alight. Driven by love, duty, and a shared dedication to education, she has fully devoted her life to fulfilling her late husband’s unfinished mission.
The establishment of our Hind English Medium School, Gurukool stands as a grand living tribute to our founder’s memory, a powerful realization of his ultimate dream. It is the culmination of our founder’s forward-thinking vision, seamlessly executed through the unwavering commitment, relentless hard work, profound dedication and exemplary efforts of our beloved Smt. Kiran Baburao Taware.
Today, the Shrisant Goroba Shikshan Sanstha continues to provide top-tier, quality education to thousands of students entirely free of cost though its Marathi Medium schools and affordable English Medium school proving that while a visionary may leave us, a true legacy lives on forever.
